The second quarter of 2024 showed varied user engagement and download trends for the top beauty retail applications on iOS in the US. Here's a glimpse of how each app performed, according to data provided by Sensor Tower.
Douglas - Parfüm & Kosmetik maintained a steady flow of weekly active users (WAUs), starting at approximately 88K in the first week of April and peaking at around 91K in the third week of June. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a notable peak of nearly 16K in mid-June.
Sephora - Maquillage, Parfum saw a decrease in both downloads and WAUs over the quarter. Downloads dropped from approximately 13K to 7K, and WAUs dwindled from 47K to around 44K by the end of June.
flaconi experienced a surge in WAUs, with numbers rising from about 89K to over 106K in the third week of June. Downloads showed a mid-quarter dip but recovered to around 6.5K by mid-June.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY downloads saw an unexpected spike in the second week of June, soaring to over 43K from just a few hundred in the preceding weeks. WAUs also shot up in the same period, reaching over 34K from the usual 4K range.
Notino: profumi e cosmetici had a relatively stable quarter in terms of WAUs, starting at around 10K and peaking at approximately 13K in late April. Downloads for Notino showed an increase in late April but generally hovered around the 2K mark.
